In the North of the island of Tenerife, in the majestic valley of La Orotova, between the volcano El Teide and the Atlantic Ocean, Bodegas Tajinaste opened their doors in 1977 in the continuity of a long tradition of grape cultivation and wine making of the family García Farráis. They grow the variety of Listan Negro and Listan Blanco on ancient vines, planted around 1914. The vines grow on their own roots, according to a singular training system called "Cordones Multiples Trenzado" or "braided multiple Cords". Merging wine-making tradition and modern oenology, their work steeped in the family tradition is done with the greatest respect of the vineyard. Faithfully translating the trilogy soil, variety and wine making, the Bodega Tajinaste, offers unique and volcanic wine, endowed of typicity, character, and sensation of terroir.
We currently export in the US, Canada, UK, Germany... The wines from the Canary Islands are niche products in the globosphere of the wine industry.
