Bodega El Lomo

THE WINERY

Located in a distinctly rural environment within the munic pality of Tegueste and surrounded by great views of the area, the winery is situated between 375 and 413 meters above sea level. It took the brand name “El Lomo” from the area where it is located, originally a volcanic and rocky site, possessing many unique soil characteristics from which the vineyard has benefitted.

HISTORY

The winery belongs to the family of Mr. Félix Rodríguez Rodríguez, a highly entrepreneurial man who in the 1980´s bought a 30,000m2 plot of land in the area known as El Lomo (Tegueste). At first he began producing only small amounts of wine, but amazed by the potential, he decided to improve his production methods. The quality of the wine and success among consumers subsequently lead to expansions of the initial plot.
