The prestigious Spanish Ladies Open part of the 2014 calendar of the Professional Ladies European Tour (LET), was held in September 2014 under the deep blue sky of Golf Costa Adeje beautiful course in the southwest of the island of Tenerife during three intense days.

In this memorable occasion, for second consecutive year, the winner of the tournament was a South African golfer, in this occasion the young 21 years old golfer Connie Chen, who premiered with this victory her professional achievements.

In the tournament in which the Navarre Carlota Ciganda finished in second place with 278 strokes, 10 under par, 69 of them in the final round with birdies at 3, 5, 11, 13 and 17, participated top-notch golfers of the international scene such as the Swedish international golfer Sophie Gustafson or the Spanish Azahara Muñoz.
As well the former champion and winner of the 2013 edition, the South African golfer Lee-Anne Pace took part in the game ending up in sixteenth place.

The tournament was characterized by the effectiveness of the young Connie Chen and her sensational Eagle on the thirteenth hole. By contrast the two bogeys of the Spanish Carlota Ciganda on holes 9 and 10 were crucial in the sake of not being able to win the coveted title.

It was the second time this tournament was played on the island, in what was a memorable day that entered the golden book of Tenerife golf history in our wonderful Atlantic island.

Other stellar golf days as the one described, have been part of Golf Costa Adeje´s brilliant history. Countless tournaments that have been the delight of all Golf lovers, like those which took place in November 1999, when Golf Costa Adeje was seat of the BMW Golf Cup International world Final 1999, a tournament of great importance in the world of golf which in this important occasion was attended by 32 countries.

The competition took place with great success and Golf Costa Adeje featured the acceptance and approval of all participants. In April 2003 was held the Canaries Open of Spain 2003 which ended with the victory of the British golfer Kenneth Ferrie and which was a success both in organization, participation and public attendance. This event made the images of Golf Costa Adeje propagate throughout the world due to  the publicity that was achieved with the issuance of the tournament through numerous high-profile and relevant sports channels.

In April 2005 the golf course, hosted the celebration of the Tenerife Ladies Open, tournament involving players as relevant as Paula Martí, Karine Icher, Miriam Nagl, Diana Luna and Trish Johnson, and in which the player Ludivine Kreutz got the victory.

In June 2008, it was held to coincide with the 10th anniversary of its opening, the Tenerife Ladies Open 2008 which featured in that edition the participation of numerous, relevant and important players.

Finally we should mention among the most important tournaments played at the Golf Costa Adeje, the Tenerife Ladies Open 2009, which was honored that time with the stellar participation of Laura Davies, a tournament which was wined by the British golfer Rebecca Hudson.
