The Spanish Ladies Open 2012

Within the most important Tenerife Golf Historic Highlights, we cannot miss to mention:  The Spanish Ladies Open 2012, which in Tenerife Golf Las Américas commercial director, Mr. Brendan Breen, words, took place as follows:

The Spanish Ladies Open which formed part of the 2012 calendar of the Professional Ladies European Tour (LET) was held for the 1st time in the Canary Islands and was celebrated at Golf Las Américas in Tenerife from the 20th to the 23th September 2012 with 126 of the top European professionals from the order of merit.

Players Carlota Ciganda, Laura Davies, Nikki Garrett, Trish Johnson and the 2011 Tenerife Ladies Matchplay winner Becky Brewerton were just a few of the well-known players who participated during the 4 day event.

The tournament was won by Stacey Keating from Australia who closed her final round with a two under par 70 to come from a stroke behind Caroline Masson from Germany and tie on nine under par. She then birdied the first extra hole in a sudden death play-off to win the tournament.
