This traditional and renowned restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, frequented both by business men, but, as well, by couples and friends celebrating special occasions, is in its own right one of the best restaurants in Tenerife.
Located at 38 Viera y Clavijo street, not far from the City Hall, its head chef, the Basque cook from the Arratia Valley, Mr. Iñaki Undagoitia and his second, Mr. Alberto Margallo, from the northern Cantabrian Region, form a tandem of proven culinary solvency.
The restaurant itself is characterized by a menu that combines traditional dishes of Spanish cuisine, mainly traditional Basque and Castilian food, with some nods to typical ingredients of Canarian cuisine, such as in their magnificent octopus on black Canarian potatoes foam.
The property is spacious, with large tables and comfortable chairs, which invite to long after-dinner conversations.
The decoration is very adequate, abounding wood and "jable" volcanic stone, so characteristic of the south of the island of Tenerife. So aesthetic and warm. The overall gives the place a feel of a luxury Spanish tavern.
Good cutlery, crockery, glassware and quality tablecloths, combined with an efficient and friendly service, complete a highly recommended set.
